About Us
At Across The Board, we've always believed that making our games in America is about more than manufacturing—it's about supporting American workers, American craftsmanship, and American families. We don't outsource our production—we handcraft every game ourselves right here in the USA.
Our games celebrate American traditions. From baseball and horse racing to our America 250 collection honoring our nation's history, it only feels right that products inspired by America are made in America. Building every game ourselves allows us to maintain the quality, craftsmanship, and attention to detail our customers have come to expect.
Every game we make supports skilled American workers and helps preserve the tradition of American manufacturing. We're proud that each purchase contributes, in its own way, to keeping those skills and jobs here at home.
Across The Board began with a simple dream shared by Ryan and Kim McDaniel—to build a business that would bring people together. Inspired by an after-dinner game at Ryan's mom's house, they combined Ryan's woodworking skills and Kim's marketing experience to create handcrafted wooden board games designed to create lasting memories.
What started in their garage grew into a thriving family business. After Ryan's passing in 2015 following a courageous battle with colon cancer, his strength, vision, and love for family continue to inspire everything we do. Today, every game we handcraft is a tribute to his dream: creating quality American-made products that bring family and friends back around the table.
